3.21ct bright red Oregon Sunstone

This Oregon Sunstone has that bright red color that everyone wants. Like most Oregon Sunstones, it’s a zoned color, not the same throughout, but very dazzling with the copper schiller, especially in sunlight. Be sure to look through these photos to see the difference between artificial light, direct sunlight, and natural shaded light.

The stone is fairly large, measuring 13×7.6mm. It’s probably best suited to a pendant. I can imagine it set with garnet, spinel, or ruby to show off that gorgeous red color.
