Bicolor concave cut 3.85ct Oregon Sunstone
This stone originated at the Sunstone Butte mine.
This higher elevation mine (about 15 miles from the Sunstone Collection area) has an abundance of darker colored greens and bicolor Oregon Sunstones.
This one is cut in a rectangle with concave cuts on the sides to give it extra refraction. Photos just don't do this stone justice.
The stone weighs 3.85ct and measures 7.8x12mm.
Bicolor cushion Oregon Sunstone 8.83ct
This is one of those Oregon Sunstones you only see once in a while. Its depth of color is absolutely breathtaking. The dark green accented with coppery red schiller is mesmerizing.
Oregon Sunstone is rare in the world of feldspar in that it contains copper. Most stones will only show a little hint of this copper when they display a little aventurescence, that inner glow seen as it flashes in the sunlight. About 10% of these stones will display any color at all, usually a pinkish peach color. Then there's the 1%rs. Stones like the one you're seeing here that are so rare they must be used to create a custom-made masterpiece.
This particular stone is 8.83ct and measures 14.4x11mm. It would make a very impressive cocktail ring or pendant.

Breathtaking blue .75ct Madagascar sapphire
This is a breathtakingly blue untreated Madagascar sapphire. The color is just spectacular. With a little bit of silk, a little bit of color zoning but overall a majestic royal blue that just shouts, "Look at me!"
Madagascar sapphires are renowned for their color. This one came from a stone that had just a hint of yellow mixed with this amazing blue. The results are stunning, and as an unheated stone, this color is as close to the perfect sapphire blue you're going to get.
This is the perfect stone for a ring or pendant and is large enough to be a center stone or could work being set with other stones as an accent.
The weight is .75ct, and it measures 6mmx5mm. Cut in a nice juicy pear shape.

Champagne Oregon Sunstone tennis bracelet
Here's yet another champagne Oregon Sunstone version of the classic tennis bracelet every woman needs in their jewelry box.
But what exactly is a tennis bracelet, and why do we call them that?
It seems the dainty gemstone bracelets, most commonly associated with diamonds, were called eternity bracelets until the late 1970s, when tennis star Chris Evert was known to wear this type of bracelet while playing. As a matter of fact, in 1978, while playing in an early round of the US Open, her bracelet broke in the middle of a match, and play was suspended until it was found. Soon, jewelers started referring to them as tennis bracelets, and women began wearing them in much less formal settings than ever before.

However, it did not work for them logistically, and they eventually sold the mine in the 1940's.
